THE HUMANIST ACTIVIST

An affiliate adheres to the Party program; but an activist besides committing himself or herself to the objectives, develops a method of political action and a political conduct based on active non-violence.
An activist is revolutionary because he works for achieving the objectives of economic and social equality, using a method of political struggle: the method of active non-violence which is exercise through denunciations, through non-cooperation with injustice and through civil disobedience.

An activist fulfills this model of conduct:

  • Participates in the organization and development of the Party.
  • Discusses the problems to be solved.
  • Carries out what is resolved without postponement.
  • Improves upon his previous actions.
  • Works in team.
  • Takes the function that the Party assigns him.
  • Does not promise what he cannot fulfill.
  • Does not respond to provocations with violence.
  • Only retreats in order to come back with more force.
  • Leads every discussion towards precise ends:
    a. to clarify the problem,
    b. to propose solutions and
    c. to mobilize for a concrete action.

Because of the above, that is, because of his objective, his method and his conduct, an activist of the Humanist Party is different from any other activist.

The Humanist Party is something more than a party and the Humanist activist is something more than an ordinary activist
